LOVE IS IMITATION //

Marriage is a beautiful thing. This Saturday and next Saturday I have the awesome honor of celebrating with friends and family the coming together of two powerhouse couples.

Marriage is a sacred thing, it's a mysterious thing, it's a bond that is unlike most things, and with less than a year of it under my belt, it's unlike anything I had been told in days past.

which is not a bad thing //

There's a mysterious line in the Bible that says

\\No one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church

Marriage is designed, by God, to be a physical display of Jesus' heart for us.

Church, is a strange word, but here it simply means:

a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly

God loves the gathering together of people. We were designed to do life together.

A couple other lines that lead up to this mysterious one mentioned above, are:

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word

so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish//

In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies.

He who loves his wife loves himself.

No one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church//

Marriage is a beautiful and mysterious thing, it's purest and most unadulterated form is when two come together,

and their life together imitates Jesus.

I see in this that when we give of ourselves for another, it is a Holy thing.

& then he said //

be imitators of Me And walk in love, as I have loved you and gave myself up for you.
